2022 - what a year!

January - March

I came back to YWAM Lausanne for my Ministry and Leadership Development School. I thought I will come for 6 months before I enter my University. But then, during this time I felt strongly to stay and to engage with the youth and share the love of God during my serving and investment here at YWAM Lausanne. My heart for Missions started to grow and during School, I knew the time in Missions is not finished, but it just started.

During the Ministry and Leadership Development School, SeongEun and I started to get to know one another and at the end of March we started dating :-)!

Isaiah 42, 1-9

“Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations.

He will not shout or raise his voice in public. He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged. He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.[a]”

God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, and life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says, “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations. You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols. Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens.”

As I was praying for my future if I should go back to the University or stay in Missions with YWAM Lausanne, the Lord put on my heart Isaiah 42. I felt the Lord speaking directly into my heart and I knew, for now, I am supposed to stay here. I have such a huge heart for the lost and to walk alongside people, to love and invest in them. My desire is that they are able to receive the love of God and their true identity. I also love to champion young people so that they are able to figure out their passion and calling for their lives. The verses of Isaiah felt like a confirmation of God's guidance over my life and his calling as I am stepping into Missions.

April - August

From April to August I was able to be part of the Discipleship and Training School where I truly could put into practice what God was starting to put into my heart. It was a time of stretching and growing as I was serving and investing in the students.

From June - August I had the honor to bring a team to the Nations of Thailand and Cambodia where we were able to share the Gospel and invest in the people groups in these Nations.

September - October

SeongEun and I spent 1 month in Korea, where I was able to get to know more about his Nation and family and friends. It was a wonderful time when we were able to grow together and to talk and pray for our future. We also had a lot of fun while experiencing a lot of different foods and visiting friends and family.

November - December

During the last 2 months of the year 2022, I was able to help and invest in the office, where I learned a lot of new things. I had the honor to help in organizing different events like our quarterly Graduation or prayer day. During this time I was able to develop one of my passion to help and organizing.

Wedding preparation

Middle of November on 13.11.2022, I got engaged to SeongEun, and beginning of December our Wedding preparation started :-)!

We experienced God's faithfulness in a crazy way as we started to look into a venue for our wedding. We looked into several venues but all of them were either too far away, too small too expensive, or already booked out. Both of us were at this point of being a bit discouraged as we never thought it will be that hard to find a location. But we kept praying and trusted the Lord for the perfect location for us. One day, a friend of mine visited me and as we were talking about the wedding, she showed me a beautiful barn, 40 minutes from the YWAM Base. SeongEun and I looked into the barn and felt imminently that should be the place. A few days later we could go and visit the place and at the same time, we got the barn! The price, space, locations, everything was exactly how we imagined it to have it! What an incredible testimony of God's guidance and provision over us as we are preparing to step into a new season of life!

Christmas break

SeongEun and I went to Zurich over the Christmas season where we were able to spend time with my family and celebrated Christmas together. It was such a blessed time of refreshments and recharging before we jump into the new year of 2023!

I am beyond blessed and thankful to be part of this community and the movement God is bringing into this world! 2023 - a year of excitement and new seasons to come!

I am super excited about 2023. I felt the Lord speaking over this year, that it will be a year of refreshment, learning to rest in his presence, and new beginnings, as Seong Eun and I start to prepare for our wedding and our marriage. As well as new learnings and a deeper growth into my calling, as an individual but also for SeongEun and myself as a couple.

Jesus as the center of it all

We as a community had also a time of prayer for the year ahead and we strongly felt the invitation of Jesus to come deeper into his presence and to have him as our source of it all.

We had a wonderful start to the new Quarter and in our community, we are representing 27 different Nations.

Ukraine Kids Ministry

We as a community also had the honor to bless over 90 Orphans from Ukraine who ended up here in Switzerland because of the war. We were able to get donations for over 100 Christmas presents for them. Hearing their story truly broke my heart and I definitely want to invest more in them as we will keep visiting them and organizing outings and events for them. Prayers are much appreciated. Beginning of this year we were able to bless them with an outing and to have a time of fellowship together.

God's invitation to you

I pray as you are stepping into the new year that in everything and through everything you are doing you are able to see God's glory and presence upon your life. God is inviting you to come into his presence as his beloved son and daughter and he wants to create and work with you! I speak God's peace and rest over you!

All is for Your glory. All is for Your name.

All is for Your glory. That in all things You may have the first place. That in all things You may have preeminence. So put me anywhere, just put Your glory in me. I'll serve anywhere, just let me see Your beauty. Catch me up in Your story. All my life for your glory. My God, My joy, My delight.
