Hello everyone,
We hope you are doing well and we are excited to share with you an update on the last 3 months as we have been serving in the Disciplehisp Training school (DTS).
Thank you for taking the time to read our newest update and your trust and investment towards us.
I am the vine, you are the branches; if he abides in me, and I in him, a man bears much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing (John 15:5)

1. DTS (Discipleship Training School)
The theme of this DTS was “Jesus, the Way, Take Up Your Cross and Follow me” which is based on the theme verse, Matthew 16:24.
During the school we lookd at the meaning of seriously considering what it means to follow Jesus, deny ourselves, take up the cross, and decide to live as a disciple following the way of Jesus.
Then Jesus said unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24).
We had 23 students from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Barbados, Colombia, Morocco, Switzerland, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and Australia, with an average age of just under 21.

Over the last 3 months we could see the hungre and passion the students are having to get to know more God and to understand on a deeper level there identity as God's children. We had many different teachings which helped us to understand on a deeper level who God is and how much we are loved by him.
As they have learned about God's character and nature, they have begun to replace their misconceptions about God with the truth of the Bible. As we had lectures on our identity in Christ and what it means to live a life where we want to fear God in all we do, the students have been able to surrender to God the pain they have buried and hidden deep in their lives and the sinful habits they have been unable to break, and experience the freedom that God offers.

God has worked so amazingly in the lives of the students, and He is still working in amazing ways in their lives, and we are excited to see what He will do in the next two months of outreach. The students departured end of March for the outreach. In total we sent 2 teams, one team to North Africa and one team to Brazil.
In each country, they will be sharing and serving God's love through church ministry, orphan ministry, refugee ministry, home visits, street evangelism, Bible studies, ministry to the disabled, widows, and addictions.
We can't wait to see what God will do through them and to hear the testimonies of those who will come to know Jesus through them. Pray that God will give the team leaders with wisdom and strength, that the team will be safe, and that each and every one of the students will have a deep experience and taste of God's amazing work as they serve in this nations.
Some testimonies of our students I had a big opportunity to grow in my relationship with Jesus. Through the amazing speakers I gained a lot of knowledge on who Jesus really is and how he works, and I could start to built my trust in him.
I came here feeling lost. I felt like I had so much potential and having just gotten out of high school, I didn't know what to do with my life. The overwhelming pressure I felt trying to figure out my life is now lifted as I have started to give my life to Jesus. I have an identity in him and now it doesn't matter what I do because God will be by my side and he will guide me in the right direction.
I have been able to hear God’s voice like I have never before and I have been able to grow into my relationship with him every day more.
He matured me more in surrender to Him, showed me more about my identity, and healed and rebuilt a lot of parts of my life. He walked very close to me and guided me through pain and difficulties to the bright light while protecting and loving me.
2. Other Ministries
a. Teaching in the DTS and preaching at our community gathering.
SeongEun and I have the privilege to grow in our teaching as we have been teaching on the topic of "God the creator who speaks". We had the opportunity to teach on it last fall and we also taught the topic during the DTS we have been leading and we have the honor to teach it to the upcoming DTS starting beginning of April.
Whenever we are preparing for the teaching we challenge each other to also reflect on how much do we personally live out what we are sharing. We only have the autroity in sharing with the students on the things we are actually applying in our perosnal lives.
As we teach the students we want them to understand that God desires to communicate with everyone and that His communication is based on the love relationship we can have with Him.
If we would perceive the relationship between God and us as one of master and servant, we will only expect to receive commands from God on matters of importance - Joey DowsonHe desires to reveal his love to us as we spend time with Him in communion. He is more commited to us than we ever could be to Him.
SeongEun also had the privilege to share a message in our community gathering on the topic of following Jesus.

b. Kingdom Come
Once a quarter we bring our community to the city where we host an event called Kingdom Come. We set up tables by the lake and invited passengers to sit together and watch various performances, eat, share our testimonies, and share God's love through our messages. SeongEun was able to serve the event as the worship leader.
Testimony during the event This particular Kingdom Come, we had a man who our staff and students had met and developed a relationship with during our weekly Wednesday city evangelism, and he decided to give his life to Jesus during the event, hallelujah!
c. Mini Outreach in Zurich and Bern
Last weekend, we split the students into there outreach teams and sent them to two churches, one near Bern and one in Zurich, in order to give the outreach teams time to get to know one another better, build teamwork, and prepare for the outreach.
SeongEun was able to join the team to Zurich and here is a testimony of the time they had together.
Testimony of the time in ZurichAfter arriving in downtown Zurich on Saturday, we had a time of worship by the lake and as many people came to watch, we had the opportunity to share the gospel with them. During our conversation, two individuals shared their desire to know more about Jesus and we had the privilege and opportunity to invite them to the church. These 2 ladies, who didn't know each other, exchanged contact information and came to church together the next day, and one of them gave her life to Jesus after the Sunday service.
We are so thankful that God met them in such an amazing way, opened their hearts, and led them to Him. Please pray that they will continue to grow in their relationship with God as they are now connected to the church, and that this experience will give our students a sense of excitement for the outreach to come!
