Helloo everyone
I am honored to be able to give you an update of what happened and is going on in my life since the last one.
As shared in the last newsletter, I was able to help &’ serve in the disciple Training School from April till June while we had 44 students participating, most of them from South Korea. The school was hold in English and Korean.

It’s always amazing to see of how students get transformed through out the school. Some of them are coming in very shy, insecure in their identity, full of questions of what the purpose of life actually is and what they should do with themselves. Throughout the school as we have many international teachers coming in and sharing on several topics like, hearing God’s voice, Family, the cross, Missions and even more we were able to testify of heavy hearts got soften and students being transformed. We had several students dedicating their life’s to Jesus!!!

The theme of the school was resting under the shelter of the most high. We really could see this theme coming forth of how we all were longing for the place where we can rest and receive comfort from our Heavenly Father and how he started to encounter and transform the individuals.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - Psalm 91, 1-2
After the 3 months of lecture phase, the students all went to the mission field where they now share and testify the goodness of God. We sent our 4 teams to 4 different nations. We have one in North Africa, Tanzania, Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Albania) and one in Mexico.

As Seongeun and I prayed, we both felt that it’s not the right timing for me to go and join one of the teams. One of the reasons is for sure our wedding to come but also because I am carrying some other responsibilites here at the base.
Therefore I stayed back in Switzerland at the base while Seongeun currently is in Mexico leading one of the teams. I am working in the office and helping out at the base in several areas in taking on responsibilities in categories like housing and internship envovlments.
The distance and separation is for sure not without sacrifice or challenges but we both are confident and trusting that it’s for the best and that God will make something beautiful out of it. As hard it is to be separated as much can I see God's favor upon it and I am enjoying the time with friends and family. I have a wonderful time to catch up with friends, in Lausanne and Zurich. Some of my friends I did not see since years and it is such a precious session to reconnect with some of them before I am getting married.
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. Every single action God takes is sure and steady. Every word He speaks is always good and true. - Psalm 33,4
I personally feel and see of how God is taking me on a deeper level of learning to have the final dependency on him and not on a human beings. A dependancy for every area of my life, from health to relationships to our finances but also trusting of what the future will hold in all the things we are still discovering.
All that said, I’m learning to trust him fully with all the unknowns and insecurities I am going through and to find rest under the shelter of the most high. Some days are harder than others but I can see God’s faithfulness and protection coming forth. I am so blessed to have friends and family around me who are taking care of me as well during the time Seongeun is gone. And God is truly the one taking care of me every single day! :-)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. - Romans 8.28
Please cover both of us in your prayers as we are spending this special session of our lives apart from each other and that we both can learn and grow in all the areas God has for us.
Especially prayer is appreciated when it comes to SeongEun’s health as he has a busy schedule and feels often tired and struggles with some cold symptoms.
Personal update
As most of you know, our wedding is coming closer and closer - in less than 3 months Seongeun and I will dedicate our life’s to each other and we are so excited for the day to come. Nevertheless there are still many unknowns in the preparation and things needed to be discovered. We are still trusting for many practical areas to be covered as well for some financial support to make the whole wedding possible.
On the other hand we still on the journey to get to know one another and we are enjoying the process to grow and learn together in all our ups and downs. The last couple of months where very challanges as we both faced many trials on the way of learning how to be a person who is willing to love and support the partner and learning to understands one antohers needs, desires and expectations.
It is a good and healthy process and we are so blessed to be able to do a marriage pre counseling course which is very eye opening and helps on our journey to become husband and wife.
While Seongeun is currently in Mexico, I am working on the final details for our special day to come. Prayers for wisdom and strength is much appreciated.
If you would like to contribute something towards our wedding in a financial aspect, please feel free to reach out to me and I love to share more details about the whole process.
We are also praying into our next steps, with ministry envolvments and for our new home. We are still trusting for a physical home for the two of us as well the finances to be able to cover the finances aspects of it. For now we both feel called to stay longer here at YWAM Lausanne. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support!
We both are so blessed to do our passions as our jobs and this is only possible because you are willing to stand with me/us in prayers and support!
So THANK YOU so much for all your love and care!
I am always excited to receive messages from you!
Many blessings and till soon
Jana

Join Our Monthly Support Team We are passionate to disciple young people and go on missions with them to spread the love of Jesus Christ to the nations. We have been doing this ministry with YWAM, and we will keep working with YWAM Lausanne after our marriage until God sends us to another nation! We would love to invite you to support us with your prayer or/and in a way of financial support. “You are workers, worthy to be supported” (Matthew 10:10 and Luke 10:7). Jesus so clearly taught the disciples their identity involved doing real work which was worthy to be supported through housing and food. YWAM is an organization that depends on God's financial provision. So we have to raise our own monthly support. We believe that God called us to be missionaries. Not everyone is called to be a missionary in the mission field, but everyone can join this amazing ministry opportunity through supporting! So If you would like to partner with us in fulfilling God's mission, you are welcome every time :)
